Awkward Deck, Spanned Scaffold, Zero Downtime: Inside a Glenfield Rd Reno
Every reno has at least one "well, that's awkward" moment. On the Glenfield Rd job for Ze Build, it was the deck.
A standard scaffold setup wasn't going to work — the deck was in the way, and shifting it would've cost the builder days they didn't have. So instead of forcing the standard kit on the site, we worked the problem from the other direction: we spanned the scaffold around the deck so the build crew could keep moving and the deck could stay put.
On top of that, we shrink-wrapped the structure. Auckland weather has a habit of showing up uninvited, and the wrap meant Ze Build could keep working through whatever the sky threw down. Days later, the wrap's still doing its job and the build is still rolling.
Why this matters for builders
- Awkward sites don't have to mean awkward timelines. The right scaffold geometry can save days.
-Shrink wrap turns weather from a stop-work into a non-event — particularly useful on recents and re-roofs where the building envelope is open.
- A scaffold partner that solves problems on day one beats one that shrugs and hands over a quote.
If you've got a reclad, re-roof, or full reno coming up — and especially one with something tricky in the way — talk to us early. Same-day quotes, no pressure, no jargon.
